To provide the full functionality of the atlasFX web application, the data structure of the atlasFX database and the atlasFX Tools in the atlasFX database have to be updated.

To do so, open the atlasFX administration interface. You can find the atlasFX administration interface at the URL 'http ( s) :/ / <host> ( : <port> ) / <path> / cms / admin /'. For this step you need the access data, which is also necessary to log in to the CMS. As a start, follow the link 'upgrade the atlasfx installation' on the home page of the administration interface.

At first, check whether an update of update of the atlasFX database structure is necessary. In this purpose, look after the entry 'Database migration' to see if a 'pending upgrade script' and a 'execute migration' button is offered here. If this is not the case and a message 'No migration needed. Schema is up to date' is shown. Then, no update of the database structure is necessary and you may continue with the creation of a database backup by clicking on the button 'Backup database'. If an update is needed instead, click on the button 'Execute migration' to perform the update and check afterwards whether further updates of the database structure are offered. Perform them if necessary. While updating the database structure a backup is created automatically. Thus, you may continue with updating the tools.

Since the atlasFX tools are managed in the atlasFX database, they must be implemented into the atlasFX database after every update of the web application. Just click on the button 'Import Tools' in the section 'tool upgrade'. Now, the necessary updates of the atlasFX database have been completed and you may check whether the system is functioning properly.
