The use of atlasFX in version 3.3 requires JAVA 8. There are known incompatibilities between JAVA 8 and Tomcat 7, which also cause problems in atlasFX. We therefore recommend using Tomcat 8 on JAVA 8. Please update your application to a current Tomcat version when upgrading to version 3.3.
